In my quest for the perfect hair removal method I have never heard of anything more stupid than Nivea’s new deodorant. They must think that all women are idiots, brainwashed by our daily intake of TV-commercials. At least the skin care products have the decency to throw in some scientific terms like antioxidants and “67% of all women think this is the best product ever…”. The technique for advertising the new “double effect” deodorant however, seems to be to just give us the fact: you will have smooth armpits for a longer time when using this product.
But how??
I was puzzled. What did they mean? Did the “double effect” stand for “deodorant + hair remover”. That would seem a little dangerous to have on 24/7. But then I listened to the commercial again and realized that what they said was that the deodorant would help me shave closer to the skin, leading to a greater length of the hair to be removed – thereby giving me smoother armpits for a longer period of time (and in addition I’ll probably get a guy that likes to stroke my now so smooth and wonderful armpits, like in the commercials you know…)
Ok, now I get it!
Or…
Wait a minute!
When is it I put on my deodorant? Is it just me, or aren’t we supposed to do it after we shave our armpits??
So there is only one solution. What Nivea has come up with is something so revolutionizing that we would never ever in our wildest dreams have come to think of it. It is the double effect deodorant, functioning as both deodorant and shaving cream. But girls; be sure to buy two bottles because you will use twice as much when you first have to apply it for shaving and then a second time, after removing all the little hairs that have stuck to the gooey deodorant.
