”Even though I like my husband very much it doesn’t feel like I have to look at him exactly when he is taking a shower.” Gabriela Kirschgens Henrichwarks in nr 12/2008 of Sköna hem
How true! Well, I don’t have a husband so technically I don’t know if I would feel this way but I do like to have some privacy in the bathroom. And that is exactly what they arbitrate in Sköna hem (a Swedish magazine on interior design).
An evolution has taken place in the bathroom. People have started to notice the problem with a huge space containing two basins, a bathtub and a sauna – there is just no privacy! So the large space has now evolved into one large room with additional rooms for the toilet or the shower. In this way, one family member can have a bath while the other takes a dump in the separate toilet area.
Nice! Here are some pictures from the magazine. The first one is from the home of the woman I quoted earlier. Here they have an open space for two wash-basins and then two enclosed areas on either side containing the shower and the toilet.
The second picture is from another bathroom where they have hidden the toilet behind a solid door. (It’s the one in the corner.)
